About Me

Numeric Citizen avatar
That's me, digitized

Dear visitor, welcome to my Numeric Citizen Introspection website. My real name is JF Martin, but I prefer to be called Numeric Citizen in cyberspace. This is my "nom-de-plume" name (learn why I'm using this name). I'm an IT (Information Technologies) professional since the early nineties. I'm 54, I'm probably getting old, I know. My hobbies are many, but writing is the one that’s taking much of my spare time. I spend about twenty hours a week on writing and publishing (fully documented here). Why? Get the answer in “I read, I learn, I write, I Share”. As explained in this post, I write about my passions which are revolving around Apple, photography, privacy protection and climate change. You'll find plenty of stuff on these subjects in my digital garden *(⚠️ warning: it's a rabbit hole 🐇).

As you can see, I have more than enough interests to trigger my inspiration. So much that they are the source of my monthly Numeric Citizen Introspection Newsletter, the starting point of this website. Speaking of which…

…What is this website all about? This website is about introspection. *Through my publications here, you'll learn more about me, my reflections on life and many of my experiences.** It's the closest you'll ever get to me. *** It started as an experiment. Then, after finding the newsletter purposes, I added the Friday Notes Series, and my Photo legends Series too. The former is weekly introspection notes, the latter is a series of short stories behind some of my photos.
